Microsoft have introduced new Teams features to help drive the integration of workers and the adoption of Microsoft 365 features.
In November 2022, Microsoft introduced new capabilities to encourage collaboration and inclusion. Gaming has been introduced into Microsoft teams to inspire team building, scheduling messages is now possible allowing communication with co-workers at just the right time, and accessibility for the deaf or hard of hearing has been improved.
Gaming with your colleagues
Every employer wants happy, engaged employees and according to studies, 90% of employees are more productive when gamification is used.
Break the ice with your team members by making use of the new Games for Work app. Encourage team building within your staff, by boosting collaboration and engaging with each other through playing games such as Microsoft Minesweeper, Solitaire, IceBreakers, and Wordament.
Send messages in the future
The new Scheduled Send feature in Microsoft Teams allows you to manually select the delivery date and time your message will be delivered to your colleague or wider teams, similar to the feature in Outlook. Select and hold (or right-click) the send button to schedule your message.
Keep sign language users visible
Sign Language View is now available in Microsoft Teams, helping people who are deaf or hard of hearing use sign language in the virtual workplace. The new feature is battling the common scenario where a deaf/hard of hearing Teams user is working with other interpreters in a meeting. The new view provides a more predictable way to always keep up to two signers visible.
Your whiteboard, your view
Your meeting host can now use the Follow Feature on Whiteboard to guide more visually engaging discussions. The new feature allows the facilitator of the meeting to bring their team into their view. Teams attendees can follow their meeting presenter easily as their host presents their meeting. Anyone can pause their view of the host’s Whiteboard at any time to catch up on their own time, and then resume the host’s view at their convenience.
Get more out of your Microsoft 365
The new Adoption Score can now help administrators make the most of their Microsoft 365 investment. IT admin can now gain more insights into their teams work habits and send reminders & messages to their team detailing how teams can potentially be more efficient if they make use of existing Microsoft 365 resources.
Different teams adopt different work styles, and Adoption Score allows IT admins to see patterns in each group by tracking Communication, Content collaboration, Meetings, and Mobility, with advice for Teamwork to follow.
The most effective workforce is connected, engaged & inspired. These new features highlight how Microsoft 365 can help your staff work smarter and more cohesively, all while minimising the cost for IT admin.
